Welcome to snugapp.ai, operated by SnugApp AI ("Service", "Platform", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our websites, applications, and related services, you ("User", "Account Holder", "Parent", "Guardian") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
"Service" refers to the snugapp.ai platform in its entirety, including the web dashboard, mobile applications, AI analysis engine, WhatsApp monitoring bridge, notification system, and any related APIs or software.
"Account Holder" refers to the adult (18+) who registers for and holds a snugapp.ai account and assumes full legal and ethical responsibility for all activity under their account.
"Monitored User" refers to the child or minor ("Snuggie") whose device activity is subject to monitoring by the Account Holder using the Service. The Account Holder represents and warrants that they are the legal parent or guardian of the Monitored User.
"Monitored Device" refers to the smartphone or device belonging to or primarily used by the Monitored User, which has been linked to the Service by the Account Holder.
"Alert" refers to an AI-generated notification delivered to the Account Holder indicating a detected pattern of potentially harmful communication. Alerts contain a threat category, severity level, and a high-level AI-generated summary. Alerts do not contain, quote, or reproduce raw message content.
"Zero-Content Architecture" refers to snugapp.ai's core technical and legal commitment that no raw message content (text, audio, images, or video) is ever permanently stored, logged, or retained by the Service. All analysis occurs in volatile memory and is purged after processing.
"Paddle" refers to Paddle.com Market Limited, Paddle Payments Limited, and/or Paddle.com Inc. (collectively, "Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for all snugapp.ai subscription transactions. Paddle is the seller of record, responsible for payment processing, invoicing, tax collection, and first-tier purchase support.
"Paddle Buyer Terms" refers to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms, which govern your purchase transaction with Paddle as the Merchant of Record.
Lawful Parental Monitoring: snugapp.ai is a lawful parental monitoring tool designed exclusively for parents and legal guardians to safeguard their minor dependents. It does not constitute surveillance software, spyware, or any tool for unauthorized access to data belonging to another party. The Service operates solely under the legal authority and explicit consent of a parent or court-appointed legal guardian, in accordance with applicable family law, COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), and other relevant child protection regulations.
The Service is available exclusively to adults aged 18 or older. By linking a Monitored Device, you represent and warrant that:
Legal Authority: You are the legal parent or court-appointed legal guardian of the Monitored User. You have the explicit legal right and authority to monitor the targeted communication accounts.
Disclosure Obligation: If your jurisdiction requires it, you have provided appropriate disclosure to the Monitored User regarding the use of monitoring software on their device.
Prohibited Uses: Using snugapp.ai to monitor spouses, employees, partners, or any individual for whom you are not the legal guardian is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of these Terms and potentially applicable law, including but not limited to the U.S. Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), the EU e-Privacy Directive (2002/58/EC), and equivalent wiretapping and electronic surveillance laws in your jurisdiction. If we discover or reasonably suspect that the Service is being used to monitor any individual without lawful parental authority, we will immediately terminate your account without notice or refund.
Authorized Parental Access: By using this Service, you affirm that the monitoring constitutes lawful, authorized parental oversight of your minor child — not unauthorized interception or surveillance. snugapp.ai is designed to analyze communication patterns, not to provide access to raw message content. The Service's Zero-Content Architecture ensures no raw messages are stored, logged, or made accessible to the Account Holder or any third party.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at privacy@snugapp.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
Lawful Use: You shall not attempt to intercept, export, or reconstruct raw message content using any component of the Service. You shall not reverse-engineer, bypass, or tamper with the AI analysis engine or Zero-Content Architecture.
snugapp.ai uses artificial intelligence to analyze communication patterns on the Monitored Device and generate risk Alerts. The Service is a best-effort supplementary safety tool and is expressly not a substitute for:
Direct parental involvement and open communication with the Monitored User.
Professional mental health, counseling, or social services.
Law enforcement reporting in the case of immediate danger.
Legal, medical, or professional advice of any kind.
The Service currently analyzes for the following threat categories: Cyberbullying, Predatory Behavior, Self-Harm/Suicide, Substance Abuse, Inappropriate Content, Exploitation, Financial Scams, Radicalization, Eating Disorders, Mental Health Crisis, and Peer Pressure. This list is subject to change.
Emergency Situations: In any situation where you believe the Monitored User faces immediate risk of harm to themselves or others, you must immediately contact local emergency services. snugapp.ai is not an emergency response system and cannot dispatch help, block messages, or intervene in conversations.
⚠ Important: The Service should not create a false sense of security. The absence of Alerts does not mean the Monitored User is safe. AI analysis is inherently incomplete and may fail to detect harmful interactions due to language nuance, slang, encryption, platform changes, or technical failures. You remain solely responsible for your child's safety at all times.
snugapp.ai utilizes advanced, third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze communications. You explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following:
No Guarantee of Detection: The AI analysis engine is not infallible. The Service will produce false positives (flagging benign content as harmful) and false negatives (failing to detect genuinely harmful content). snugapp.ai makes no representation or warranty that the Service will detect all harmful interactions or prevent all harm to the Monitored User.
Probabilistic Nature: AI models are probabilistic. They may produce incorrect, biased, or incomplete outputs. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analysis or alert generated by the Service.
No Duty of Rescue: While we aim to alert you to potential threats, snugapp.ai is a monitoring tool, not an emergency service. We do not dispatch authorities, block messages, or intervene in conversations.
No Professional Advice: Alerts regarding mental health, cyberbullying, or other threats must be evaluated by you and, if necessary, qualified professionals.
Third-Party Platform Dependency: The Service's ability to analyze activity on WhatsApp is entirely dependent on that platform's continued availability and compatibility. snugapp.ai does not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility with WhatsApp or any other messaging platform and accepts no liability for interruptions caused by changes to such platforms.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SNUGAPP AI, ITS DEVELOPERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, AI VENDORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Harm, injury, or death suffered by the Monitored User that was not detected or prevented by the Service.
Psychological, emotional, or reputational harm to the Monitored User or Account Holder.
Financial losses arising from scams or fraud involving the Monitored User that the Service failed to detect.
False positive Alerts that cause distress or damage to personal relationships.
Loss of data or service interruptions resulting from device failures, platform changes, or infrastructure events.
Any harm arising from the Account Holder's reliance on an Alert without independent verification.
Liability Cap: Where total exclusion of liability is not permitted, snugapp.ai's maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the Account Holder in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnugApp AI and its officers from all claims, losses, liabilities, and legal fees arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or any damage caused by your lack of legal consent to monitor connected devices.
snugapp.ai is a paid service offered via various subscription tiers (e.g., Duo, Family, Tribe, Village).
Merchant of Record: All purchases of snugapp.ai subscriptions are processed and resold by Paddle, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record for all transactions and is responsible for payment processing, invoicing, applicable tax (VAT, GST, sales tax) collection and remittance, and first-tier purchase support. Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms.
Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. By completing a purchase through Paddle's checkout, you authorize Paddle to charge the applicable fees on a recurring basis.
Refunds: You may request a refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or the most recent subscription renewal date. Refund requests are processed by Paddle in accordance with their Buyer Terms. To request a refund, contact Paddle's support through your purchase receipt or at paddle.com/support.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the snugapp.ai dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of the paid period.
Taxes: All applicable taxes are calculated, collected, and remitted by Paddle as part of their Merchant of Record obligations. The price displayed at checkout will include applicable taxes for your jurisdiction.
snugapp.ai targets high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
AI Model Updates: The AI analysis engine is continuously updated to improve detection accuracy, reduce false positives, and add new threat categories. These updates occur without prior notice and may temporarily alter Alert frequency or sensitivity.
Platform Interruptions: Changes to WhatsApp (e.g., API or protocol updates) may cause temporary or permanent interruption of monitoring. snugapp.ai will communicate known interruptions but accepts no liability for such events.
To ensure stable performance for all users, snugapp.ai enforces a Fair Use Policy:
Data Limits: Accounts exhibiting excessive or anomalous data consumption (e.g., monitoring heavily-trafficked group chats not intended for family use) may be throttled, reviewed, or suspended.
Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or programmatically automate interactions with the Service or its APIs.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration, rather than in court. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and may be entered as judgment in any competent court.
Purchase Transactions: Notwithstanding the above, all purchase, billing, and payment-related matters are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms, which are subject to English law and the jurisdiction of the English courts.
Class Action Waiver: You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against SnugApp AI. All claims must be brought in your individual capacity only.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered Account Holders at least 14 days prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
